"My first ever experience of Qigong was through Ian's teachings. I was taking a meditation workshop, and he had been invited to start the day off with an hour of Qigong. After that session, I felt so relaxed and present in my body that I had to take more of his classes. I've taken both Qigong and meditation classes from Ian, and his approach to both practices comes from a place of simplicity and efficiency.
Ian's approach to teaching, above all, aims to help you feel at peace and connect with the Home in the Heart, our true nature, that we often overlook in our busy lives. After each class I've taken of Ian's, I become flooded with peace, gratitude, and an awareness of the energetic aspect of my being that keeps me grounded and light when moving through the remainder of my day.

"I was invited to attend a Qigong class, and as I had never heard of this technique was interested to find out more. The class was lead by Ian who talked through the history of Qigong alongside the demonstration of the different movements. It was informative as well as a restful, peaceful class. I have attended further classes and am learning new techniques each time. I always feel at peace and re-energised after the classes and am practicing the technique at home. Ian is always more than happy to go through any techniques again, either at class or to be contacted between classes. I would recommend this peaceful, relaxing form of exercise. "I have been doing Ian's Seated Qi Qong classes now for a few weeks and really enjoying it. I have done standing Qi Qong in the past but had to stop due to developing a painful medical condition of the feet which makes me unable to stand. I discovered Ian's website and saw he gave Qi Qong classes but on contacting him he said he was interested in doing a seated class. I can thoroughly recommend this class, especially for people like myself who cannot partake in the usual classes offered due to medical conditions etc. Ian is a good teacher, explaining the movements, giving us techniques that we can easily practice at home on a daily basis, going over things and adding new movements each class, which is great. As well as being excellent for my wellbeing, it also helps me cope with daily pain, and allows me to get back into a class. I am also doing Ian's meditation class and am finding that very beneficial too."

"I have been attending Ian’s meditation class since October 2015. I turned back to meditation, after initially trialing the technique many years ago, & Ian was recommended via a friend. I was unsure what to expect at first as I had never attended a meditation class and can feel uncomfortable in new situations, but Ian and Maggie were welcoming from the start and helped to put any worries aside. The meditation technique Ian uses is really relaxing & not only that but it has taught me a new perspective on life; one which has continued to grow & improve areas of my life which caused me anxiety & stress.
Ian is a patient teacher & the time he spends talking over experiences demonstrates his caring nature. This has also benefited me to learn new ways to deal with anxious situations. I originally went to support my daughter, having tried meditation before and not being able to get to grips with it so to speak, I went to Ian's group without any expectations. I very quickly found Ian's form of guided meditation very different from meditation classes I'd tried before.
